Brian Kunkel
President and CEO

Mr. Kunkel brings to Bri-Bet over 20 years of Investigative, Law Enforcement, and Security training, knowledge and experience. Mr. Kunkel has worked with various Federal, State, and local agencies including the FBI, the Department of Defense, the Maryland Commission on Human Relations, and the Weston, West Virginia Police Department. Mr. Kunkel possesses experience in a variety of security industries including Entertainment, Retail and Commercial, and Government and Private Security.  While employed in the Law Enforcement field, Mr. Kunkel has served as an Police Administrator, Training Instructor, Field Training Officer, Media Relations Officer and K-9 Handler.  Mr. Kunkel is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the West Virginia State Police Academy and the Department of Defense Police Academy and currently serves as a Police Lieutenant with a Department of Defense Law Enforcement agency in Maryland.

Mr. Kunkel is an Active Fraternal Member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #6-F and is also an Active Member and Legislative Committee Member of the Maryland Law Enforcement Officer's Association (MLEO).

James (Jim) Tsompanas
Vice President, Law Enforcement Training and Product Sales

Mr. Tsompanas brings to Bri-Bet over 20 years of Law Enforcement and Security training, knowledge and experience.  Mr. Tsompanas is Federal and State Certified Instructor whose area of expertise is in the SWAT and Tactical fields.  Currently, Mr. Tsompanas serves as a Training Instructor with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Maryland, and was recently the Lead Law Enforcement Instructor and Chief Administrative Officer for a Federal Law Enforcement AgencyTraining Division in Maryland.  Mr. Tsompanas served in the United Stated Army as a P.S.D. Team Leader and experienced many Operations throughout Europe and the Middle East.  As a P.S.D. Team Leader, Mr. Tsompanas oversaw six-man protective services details and was responsible for their training and implementation.  His most important responsibilities involved the protection of movements of visiting dignitary’s motorcades. While employed in the Law Enforcement field, Mr. Tsompanas served as a Deputy Sheriff in Maryland, and held the positions of SWAT/SRT School Instructor, Academy Instructor, Physical Fitness Instructor, certified Fire Arms Instructor and Patrol Rifle instructor, Less than Lethal and Chemical Agents Instructor, and ASP and Handcuff Instructor.  Mr. Tsompanas earned his Bachelor's Degree at Cal State University (Sacramento), in Criminal Justice.

Matthew (Matt) Long
Lead Training Instructor
Mr. Long brings to Bri-Bet over 11 years of Law Enforcement and Security training, knowledge and experience. Mr. Long currently serves as the Lead Law Enforcement Instructor and acting Chief Administrative Officer for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency in Maryland. Mr. Long is a Maryland State Certified Law Enforcement Instructor and a SWAT/SRT Team Leader and Instructor. Mr. Long holds Training Certifications in the following fields: SWAT/SRT School Instructor, Academy Instructor, Physical Fitness Instructor, Fire Arms and Patrol Rifle Instructor, Less than Lethal, Chemical Agents’ Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Taser Instructor, ASP and Handcuff Instructor. 
Mr. Long specializes in Unarmed Self defense and Military combatives techniques. He is a competitive Bodybuilder and Competes in Power lifting events around the United States.
Mr. Long served in the United States Army as a P.S.D. Team Leader. During his tour of duty, Mr. Long oversaw protective services details and was responsible for their training and implementation. He conducted missions in Eastern Europe and South West Asia. Mr. Long is currently a Non Commissioned Officer in the U.S Army Reserve and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wesley College in Dover, DE.
